Yi-nergy Foundation Brings Warmth to Shaoxing Children’s Home, Painting a Picture of Ethnic Unity

To forge a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation and extend care to children with special needs, the Yi-nergy Foundation recently held a donation ceremony at the Shaoxing Children’s Home.

Present were Mrs. Ling Fang, Chair of the Shaoxing Municipal Committee of the China Democratic League and Vice-Chair of the Shaoxing Municipal CPPCC; Mrs. Wang Ziqin, Member of the Party Group and Deputy Director of the Yuecheng District People’s Congress Standing Committee; Mr. Shao Yue, Deputy Head of the District United Front Work Department and Director of the District Ethnic and Religious Affairs Bureau; leading members of the Yuecheng District Association for Ethnic Unity and Progress; and the founders of the Yi-nergy foundation together with their parents.

The event opened with an energetic performance by the home’s children, whose sincerity and joy lit up the room and voiced their yearning for a better life.

Mr. Yu Tao, Director of the Children’s Home, took the stage to express heartfelt thanks to the foundation and to all sectors of society for their long-term support. He outlined the children’s living and learning conditions and voiced the hope that such public-interest activities will let the youngsters feel even more warmth from the big family of society.

During the donation segment the foundation presented daily necessities and funded the renovation of a classroom, aiming to give the children a more comfortable environment for study and life. A founder then shared the story behind the launch of the foundation and its years of philanthropic work, underscoring a deep concern for the children and a firm commitment to the ideal that “all ethnic groups are one family” and to helping vulnerable groups grow.

After the ceremony the visitors toured the dormitories, classrooms and activity areas to gain a first-hand understanding of the children’s daily routines and living conditions.

Founded in 2019 by three school students, Ms. Zhou Yiyi, Ms. Ye Shenghan and Ms. Lu Yiping, the Yi-nergy Foundation has always embraced the belief that “all ethnic groups are one family.” It focuses on the needs of underprivileged students and special groups from all ethnic backgrounds, carrying out scholarships, tuition aid, poverty relief and medical support. To date it has raised 334,000 yuan, provided 69,000 yuan in subsidies to nearly 100 students of various ethnicities studying in Yuecheng District, and helped many children surmount real-life difficulties.

The event expands the foundation’s charitable map once again, delivering both material support and spiritual comfort to children with special needs. By concrete action it advances the forging of a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation and calls on more social forces to care for special groups, so that compatriots of every ethnicity can share the warmth of the national family.
